When Tottenham signed Bryan Gil for £21.6 million in 2021, there was a lot of buzz surrounding him.

He signed from Sevilla after a successful loan season at Eibar, with Erik Lamela departing.

Unfortunately, he failed to make a league start in his first six months at the club and was loaned out to Valencia, where he instantly became popular with the supporters.

Antonio Conte was harsh on Gil at the start of last season, claiming he wasn’t a genuine Premier League option.

In January, he returned on loan to Sevilla, where he started the Europa League final and helped them win the trophy for the second time.

Sevilla are ready to recruit Gil on loan from Tottenham again, but Daniel Levy is demanding a high cost for the 22-year-old.

The club does not want him to leave on loan for the third season in a row.

Tottenham wants a high sum for Gil.
According to ABC de Sevilla, the Spanish team is now facing a challenge on the left wing.

Bryan Gil is one of several candidates being considered to fill the vacancy.

They want the 22-year-old back after he impressed during his six months at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan last season.

However, Sevilla is aware that Tottenham would seek a high fee for Gil and prefers to keep him on loan for another season.

It’s easy to see why Daniel Levy and the Spurs aren’t thrilled with this conclusion.

They paid a high price for Gil and will be hesitant to let the club from whom he was purchased to continue using him once they sell him.

However, Gil requires playing time, and the addition of Manor Solomon this summer may have moved him down the pecking order.

He fits Ange Postecoglou’s system quite well in terms of style.

Unfortunately, he is now injured, which may jeopardize his aspirations to move on this summer.

That could be a gift in disguise, as he may be able to work his way back into the team once he returns to training.
