With three recruits apiece selected McDonald’s All-Americans, Duke and UConn are in first place.
Two 5-star recruits, Cameron Boozer (ranked #3 overall) and Shelton Henderson (ranked #14 overall), as well as two 4-star recruits, Nikolas Khamenia (ranked #15 overall) and Cayden Boozer (ranked #24 overall), have committed to Jon Scheyer, who has secured the #1 recruiting class per 247sports for the second consecutive year.
As head coach of Duke basketball, Scheyer has assembled at least a top-2 recruiting class each of his three years in the position (#2 in 2023, #1 in 2024, and #1 in 2025).
Nate Ament, a possible 5-star addition to his class of 2025, will be at Cameron Indoor for Duke’s (18-2, 10-0 ACC) game against North Carolina (13-8, 6-3 ACC) on Saturday (6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). However, three of his commits have already been selected McDonald’s All-Americans.
Both of the Boozer twins were chosen to represent the East, while Khamenia will represent the West. Henderson, the 14th-ranked player in the 2025 class according to 247sports, was left off the roster.
In 2022, Dariq Whitehead, Dereck Lively II, and Mark Mitchell were the three Blue Devils picked to participate in the McDonald’s All-American game. Two were chosen for the program in 2023 and 2024.
The event will now take place on April 1st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, after previously taking place in Houston. With three All-American picks each, Duke and UConn were in the lead.
