Things seen during training ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League match versus Wolves
Liverpool have been put through their paces at the AXA Training Centre in preparation for their trip to Wolves on Saturday.
The Reds have shared images from today’s training session ahead of the Premier League match at Molineux.
Fabio Carvalho is expected to return for Jurgen Klopp’s side. The dynamic 20-year-old attacker has missed the last two games due to a slight injury.
Carvalho, on the other hand, was back in full training with the rest of his teammates and appears to be available for selection in Liverpool’s squad.
In addition, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk posed for a photo together. The pair were not in team training as they work their way back from injuries, but they appeared to be in good spirits.
Firmino has not appeared for Liverpool since the season resumed following the World Cup. He’s been sidelined longer than planned due to a calf issue.
Meanwhile, Van Dijk has been out since coming off in the 3-1 loss to Brentford on January 2.
Jurgen Klopp stated last week that the trio, along with Diogo Jota, were a few of weeks away from training. The Liverpool boss will address the media tomorrow and is expected to provide an injury update.

According to reports, Liverpool is still owed money for a £23 million player who was sold in 2020, and his club has not been paying.
Liverpool have yet to receive complete payment for the 2020 transfer of Rhian Brewster to Sheffield United
Brewster’s career has plummeted since joining United after he was a tremendously promising academy player at Liverpool. The Londoner is struggling up North, suffering from a slew of injuries as well as poor form on the field.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Sheffield United are still on the hook for an expensive transfer blunder.
They claim that United failed to make a recent payment related to Brewster’s transfer. It is stated that this is one of the reasons they were placed under a transfer embargo.
There is no further information on the amount of the missing payment or how much is still owed to Liverpool.
If the Yorkshire club is taken over, everything will supposedly return to normal. The Echo cites an article from The Times that implies this could happen soon.
Brewster’s departure in 2020 appeared to be a danger for United. As it turns out, it was a total and utter failure.
The striker, now twenty-two, is still young enough to turn things around. But, given that he’s only scored five goals in 63 appearances since joining the club two years ago, it doesn’t seem likely.
And to think he was once considered a viable option for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. Brewster must be feeling a million miles away right now. Unfortunately, the financial consequences of his transfer are still being felt due to issues beyond his control.
