The Jude Bellingham transfer saga is expected to continue amid the ongoing tug-of-war between Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Liverpool
Despite claims to the contrary from reliable sources, it appears that Anfield-based club legends now expect the Reds to win the battle and secure the Englishman’s signature, with a deal simply a “matter of formalities.”
“There is an expectation that Bellingham will decide where he wants to go next month,” the journalist wrote for Football Transfers. “Liverpool club legends anticipate the move to Anfield and claim that it is merely a formality.”
According to what we’ve been told at Empire of the Kop, the player and his family are interested in the L4 project and aren’t put off by our struggles this season.
Indeed, we’d like to think that Bellingham and company will be encouraged by the fact that much of our difficulty can be attributed to a lack of fresh legs and ideas in the middle of the park.
While the signing of the 19-year-old will not solve everything on Merseyside, it will be a step in the right direction as the manager looks to build his next great team.
We’re reminded of one piece of advice the German tactician gave former Anfield favorite Philippe Coutinho before his ill-advised departure to Catalonia, which may be useful when tweaked for the England international’s decision.
Bellingham would most likely be just ‘another player’ in Spain, whereas success in England, and hopefully with Liverpool, would far more likely guarantee him reverence at whichever club he signs with.
