When Bournemouth visits Liverpool in August, the rebuilt Anfield Road stand will be unveiled.

New drone footage shows the development of the Anfield Road construction in Liverpool.

The Liverpool crest was recently affixed to the exterior of the Anfield Road stand. Because of its size and weight, it required three days to properly install in parts. It is 5 metres by 6.9 metres and would cover the full 18-yard box if put flat on the ground.

Other improvements are being made, with a lack of heavy machinery being visible in a recent update on the stadium given by Mister Drone UK. This shift demonstrates the club’s continuous commitment to completing the project in time for the Reds’ first home game of the 2023/24 season, when Bournemouth visit Merseyside on August 19.

The majority of the scaffolding within the stadium has also been removed, indicating that the most of the internal lifting is now complete, with seats progressively being put to the upper tier now that the previous roof has been removed.

The work on renovating the Anfield Road end began in September 2021, with Jurgen Klopp conducting a ground-breaking dig on-site, and has cost £80 million.

With the stand modifications, the Reds will have the fifth-largest football stadium in England and the fourth-highest capacity in the Premier League. Over the summer, the renovation will add 7,000 seats, bringing the total capacity to 61,000.

Fans will have to wait until the second game of next season for the grand debut of the new-look Anfield, as the club has asked to play away on the first day of the season.

Last Thursday, it was revealed that Liverpool would open the 2023/24 season with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on August 13.
