Snoop Dogg has officially entered the world of British football ownership, becoming a minority stakeholder in Swansea City—his first formal investment in the sport in the UK. However, his well-known and long-standing admiration for Celtic continues to capture the imagination of Hoops fans.
The 53-year-old rap icon, who has publicly supported Celtic for more than 20 years, joined Swansea’s ownership group this week and even featured in the club’s surprise unveiling of their 2025–26 home kit.
His move into football ownership comes shortly after Luka Modric’s involvement with the Championship side, but for many Celtic supporters, the bigger story is what this development might signal for their club. Snoop’s affection for Celtic is no secret—he’s worn the jersey, mentioned the team in interviews, and has spoken openly about wanting to attend a game at Celtic Park.

Now that he’s officially involved in football, speculation is growing over whether he could one day invest in Celtic. Adding fuel to the fire, Snoop recently announced plans to launch a pop-up burger stall at Celtic Park on matchdays, where he intends to serve food himself—a gesture that feels more heartfelt than promotional.
While there’s currently no indication of a financial commitment to Celtic, his investment in Swansea could be the start of a larger role in British football. With his clear loyalty to Celtic, the idea of him getting involved further north doesn’t seem so far-fetched anymore.
A seat in the Celtic boardroom might still seem like a dream—but with Snoop now firmly in the football business, it’s no longer out of the question.
