Legendary Bayern Munich player Philipp Lahm has provided an explanation for why he “doesn’t comprehend” the new position played by former Liverpool player Sadio Mane

Mane was sold by the Reds to Bayern in the summer in a transaction worth up to £35 million. The six-year career on Merseyside, where the Senegal international scored 120 goals in 269 games, came to an end.

But since going to Germany, Mane’s life hasn’t quite gone as planned. In 11 games across all competitions, the 30-year-old has scored five goals, but only three have come in the Bundesliga.

Mane has played on the left wing and as a center forward during his brief stay in Munich. Lahm, a Bayern veteran, has questioned these positional alterations and claimed to be unsure of their rationale.

Mane’s abilities are undeniable, according to Lahm, who spoke to Bild TV through iMiaSanMia. “However, it’s essential that positions be clearly delineated.
