According to a source, Romeo Lavia is more likely to join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal than Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

According to the Independent, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all interested in signing Romeo Lavia from arse during the summer transfer season.
The Gunners want Lavia and West Ham United player Declan Rice to be part of their new-look midfield for next season.

Although Arenal is not as far along with Lavia as he is with Rice, the Gunners are “seen as his most likely next club, amid competition from Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United,” according to the source.

In his Reading the Game email newsletter (12:04pm, June 16, 2023), Independent journalist Miguel Delaney wrote about Arsenal and Lavia: “Arsenal are also considered strong contenders for his signature, despite stiff competition.”

Arsenal gets an exciting Romeo Lavia update, but Liverpool suffers a setback.
Romeo Lavia is regarded as one of the greatest young defensive midfielders in the game, and this recent revelation is a major bonus for Arsenal but a setback for Liverpool.

Arsenal appear to be the favourites to sign the 19-year-old Belgian international, who was described as “an extremely talented young player” by former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl on the club’s official website in July 2022.

After signing Alexis MacAllister from Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool might use one or two more exciting midfielders like Lavia.

However, it appears that the former Manchester City prospect is more likely to join Arsenal.

Liverpool’s gain would be Arsenal’s loss.
