Report: Clement believes he’s “very good,” and Rangers are winning the battle for a possible £900k bargain deal.

Although Philippe Clement is a huge fan of the rumored Rangers target, it’s unclear if the Ibrox manager will still be around to see his arrival on Glasgow’s blue side.

Even though Lyall Cameron might be hesitant to move from Dens Park to Ibrox after seeing Rangers falter against Dundee on Thursday night, dropping 15 points behind Celtic in the process, a pre-game illness prevented the midfielder from receiving what some have called a “audition” for a player Philippe Clement obviously enjoys.

Lyall Cameron was praised by the Rangers manager before to Vaclav Cerny’s equalizer securing a lackluster draw on Thursday night.

However, with the axe hanging ominously over Clement’s head, if Cameron is going to join the Gers later this season, don’t be shocked if his arrival is accompanied by a change in the dugout.

Rangers are in the running to recruit Dundee’s Lyall Cameron.
Rangers are now leading the pursuit for Cameron, who is available to sign pre-contract terms with his Dundee deal expiring in July, according to the Scottish Sun. They are also “considering” a move for him.

There will always be room at Ibrox for the best domestic players in the country, according to technical director Nils Koppen, even though Rangers discovered genuine value in outside markets with players like Jefte and Hamza Igamane.

Cameron most definitely meets the requirements.

During his pre-Dundee press conference, Clement praised Kyle Cameron as a very excellent midfield player. “A creative midfielder with a strong base behind him and decisive action in the final pass.”

Rangers believe Cameron may be acquired for a price comparable to what they paid Aberdeen for Connor Barron, according to the Daily Record.

Barron was acquired by Rangers for just under £650,000, according to Aberdeen, with add-ons raising the total to almost £900,000. Tony Docherty’s team would also be entitled to a compensation sum, which might be determined by a tribunal, should Cameron depart Dundee at the conclusion of the season.

Cameron is only 22 years old, so if Rangers could get him for less than £1 million, it may be exceptional value.

This season, Cameron has eight goals and seven assists in midfield. Although Rangers already have a lot of skill in the middle of the field, it’s safe to assume that neither Mo Diomande, Nico Raskin, or the previously named Barron are especially effective in the closing third.

.Rangers should sign the Dundee star, according to Andy Halliday. Mulligan, Josh
Josh Mulligan, a wide player for Dundee, made an impression against a team that is expected to recruit him soon, despite Cameron’s absence on Thursday night.

Andy Halliday, a former Rangers midfielder, believes Mulligan would make a good acquisition, especially in light of Philippe Clement’s recent injury problems down the right-hand side. The unrelenting wideman provided his fourth assist of the Premiership season, setting up Dundee’s first goal in the sixth minute.

Halliday contends that the Rangers just need to line up players for the summer, construct a team in terms of depth and quality, and strive to accomplish as much as they can. “Josh Mulligan and Lyall Cameron are two guys I would sign immediately. To be honest, I’d sign both of them.

“I am signing Mulligan because he is an athletic monster.” Halliday, who has faced the Dundee duo this season with Motherwell, continues, “I am signing the two of them on pre-contracts.”

Homegrown talent was noted by [Koppen]. I’m not predicting that Rangers will win the league by adding Lyall Cameron and Mulligan. Get them two lads for true squad depth, though, and watch what [Luke] McCowan is doing for Celtic. They will play games and perform well for you.

Sasa Zdjelar of CSKA Moscow, Marko Soldo, a midfielder for NK Osijek, and Leon Belcar of Croatian team Varazdin have also been connected to Rangers.
