Fulham are now severely understaffed
The west London club lost six players from last season’s team, and with only three arrivals so far this summer, they’re thin on the ground.
More arrivals are expected at Craven Cottage in the coming days, but it appears that another exit is also possible.
Tosin Adarabioyo, according to Sky Sports, is no longer training with the first-team group at Craven Cottage as he prepares to quit the club.
Tottenham have been heavily connected with Tosin all summer, with a potential swap deal with Eric Dier being discussed, but the £13 million defender may now be ready to join Monaco, according to Sky.
Spurs have been interested in Tosin for some time, and in all honesty, that would have made sense.
Tosin, a front-footed defender who is outstanding on the ball, would have been ideal for Ange Postecoglou’s side, but a move to Ligue 1 appears to be on the cards.
This could be a great move for Tosin as well.
Monaco are perennial top four contenders in Ligue 1, and as we’ve seen with the likes of William Saliba and Jean-Clair Todibo, the French league is an excellent environment for these young ball-playing defenders to grow.
Fulham’s shopping list may now have to become even longer, as they will require more backup at center-back following Tosin’s rumored exit from the club.
What happens next for Fulham is unknown, and it will be intriguing to see if Tottenham enters the market again having presumably losing one of their key targets to Monaco.
