Rangers’ injury count rises as a key defender resumes practice.

Rangers have improved their injury rate as they enter a crucial part of the season.

As he works to recover from a calf injury, defender John Souttar has been seen returning to first team training. Manager Philippe Clement had previously stated that the Scotland center-back would be sidelined for “a number of weeks” after substituting Souttar just 35 minutes into Rangers’ Europa League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Ibrox on December 12.

Before his most recent setback, Souttar, who has played for Rangers 25 times this season, was a vital member of the backline.

When questioned about Souttar’s involvement in Rangers’ training and if he might play in Thursday’s match against Union Saint-Gilloise of Belgium, Clement was evasive. “Now it’s a decisive game,” he remarked. This group phase’s last game. Therefore, I do not wish to provide my Belgian buddies with all the resources.

They must work somewhat like me as well. “I am aware that they won’t provide me with every tool before to the game. However, as you saw throughout the training, some of the guys were back, while others were working alone. The remaining guys will be back tomorrow.
