Rangers confirm the defender announcement and agree to a loan exit.

For the rest of the season, Adam Devine has been loaned to Queens Park from Rangers.

The 21-year-old has joined the Scottish Championship team for the remainder of the season, Rangers confirmed via X on February 1.

The fact that the defender only made 11 senior games at Ibrox and was loaned to Motherwell for the second part of the last campaign suggests Philippe Clement does not have him in his plans. Rangers’ Adam Devine goes on loan. Devine’s decision to leave Ibrox on loan is hardly shocking, considering his contract also expires at the end of the current campaign.

Moving abroad gives the 21-year-old the chance to play regular minutes going ahead, even though he made his first team debut in 2022. Since then, he has had few opportunities.

Given that the defender’s contract expires soon, it appears that the Rangers manager has little hope for his staying at Ibrox, and this will probably be his final appearance at Auchenhowie.

The fact that the Gers defender is now on loan indicates that Birmingham City’s interest in negotiating a low-cost deal to sign him has faded, as reported by The Daily Mail on January 9. Devine’s chances of saving his Light Blues career away from Glasgow are slim.

He can, however, undoubtedly influence what happens next on his journey.
