PSV Eindhoven have rejected Nottingham Forest’s latest bid for Ibrahim Sangaré, according to Rik Elfrink. On Wednesday night, the Premier League club made a second bid for the 25-year-old midfielder worth €34 million with bonuses. Sangaré is still undecided about whether he wants to quit the club

Negotiations between the two teams took place today in London, but PSV has made their sentiments known. The Eredivisie club wants at least €37.5 million for Sangaré, and even if that bid is accepted, the Ivory Coast international will have to decide whether or not to leave the Philips Stadion.

Sangaré played in PSV’s 5-1 triumph over Rangers on Wednesday. With the win, the Dutch giants advanced to the Champions League group stages for the first time since 2018. If a move comes down to Sangaré’s decision, Champions League football might be a significant factor. PSV has been put in a group with Arsenal, Sevilla, and Lens.

Sangaré has been a key player for PSV since joining from Toulouse in 2020. The player’s current deal has four years left on it. Ibrahim Sangaré appeared 45 times in all competitions last season as PSV finished second in the Eredivisie and won the KNVB Cup. The 31-year-old Ivory Coast international scored eight goals and assisted on three others. The next 24 hours will be critical in determining Sangaré’s future, but for the time being, he appears to be staying in Eindhoven.
