According to Jamie Carragher, Liverpool shouldn’t rule out selecting Thomas Tuchel to be their next manager.
During his brief tenure as Chelsea’s manager, the MNF analyst emphasized how competitive the German made the Stamford Bridge-based team.
The former Red stated on Stick to Football, “I just think, he’s beat Pep [Guardiola]. I just think of a man standing on the sidelines, and you’re a Liverpool supporter, and you’re looking at him thinking, ‘He can go against him.
“He will have attended three of the previous six Champions League finals if he advances to the championship game. Now, I realize that things haven’t gone according to plan for him at Bayern Munich, but the work he did at Chelsea in an attempt to challenge Klopp and Pep’s Man City
“I hope that those who have visited Liverpool—many of them have been there previously and are familiar with the team—never forget how important the Liverpool fan base is to the team.
One could argue that this applies to all fans. He can go up and battle against Pep or whoever the manager of Man United is, because he is our man. We don’t merely have a coach there who serves as a backstage yes guy.
But it looks like the Merseysiders are getting closer to Feyenoord’s Arne Slot to unseat Jurgen Klopp at the end of the campaign.
Although an excellent manager, Tuchel is not the ideal match for Liverpool.
Thomas Tuchel being a huge success at Anfield is hard to envisage.
It’s important to recognize his recent success in Europe, which will undoubtedly appeal to our supporters, but it’s unlikely that he will leave Liverpool in a particularly positive position after his departure.
We should also note that everyone involved in the departure is likely to cry after an eventual fallout with one or more of the club’s decision-makers.
A person who is more receptive to working within the established framework will probably endure over time.
I’ll be here’ – Ruben Amorim reveals significant future hint as Liverpool boss target takes ‘choice’
Ruben Amorim has continued to remain tight-lipped over his future at the end of the season – as he remains the frontrunner to become next Liverpool manager. Amorim’s Sporting CP took another towards being crowned Portuguese champions after a 3-0 win over Vitoria Guimares. The Lions are 10 points clear at the summit of the table with four matches to play. They next face fierce rivals Porto and can claim the title at the Estádio do Dragão.
Next Liverpool manager: Ruben Amorim provides an update on his future as Sporting CP closes in on the Portuguese title
Ruben Amorim has been tight-lipped about his future at the conclusion of the season, despite being the clear frontrunner to become Liverpool’s next manager.
Amorim is still heavily associated with succeeding Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager at the end of the season. The 39-year-old is seen as the Reds’ top target after Xabi Alonso elected to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, where he led the club to their first Bundesliga title and the Europa League semi-finals.
Portuguese reporter Pedro Sepulveda said over the weekend that Amorim had no chance of staying at Sporting in the summer and that he liked the Reds’ concept.
However, in an interview with O Jogo following Guimares’ victory, he played down the speculation once more, albeit he still denies that a move to Anfield would be appealing.
Frederico Varandas, President of @SportingCP , wants to keep Rúben Amorim at Sporting, as reported by @ojogo , but there is no chance. Amorim will leave Sporting at the end of the season.

Amorim stated: “The main goal is to become champion as soon as possible.” We must respond to this fantastic environment. We face a challenging game at Dragão against a team and coach with a strong identity.
“There’s the pressure of the game, and sometimes we forget to live life. It was in stoppage time; it’s about remembering and retaining the feeling. These are crucial moments in our life. I don’t believe they would give us three in a minute. “I thought they were fantastic.”
“I’ve got a deal. We are shifting the paradigm, but it has a longer history. It would be good if there weren’t such a big disparity between titles. Nothing has changed. “I’ll be here next week.”
