Napoli is concerned that Liverpool may now outbid them for a’very aggressive’ £43 million player.

Napoli are apparently concerned that Liverpool may sign Perr Schuurs before them, with the Torino defender linked with a transfer to Anfield.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Serie A champions are concerned that Liverpool may beat them to the Dutch youth international, with Schuurs seeming increasingly set to depart Turin, with Liverpool and Newcastle United both interested in the centre-back.
Schuurs, described as a’very combative’ defender by Target Scouting, is widely considered as one of the finest in his position in Italy after a spectacular year with Torino, who now want as much as €50 million (£43 million) for the 23-year-old if a bid comes in.

With Liverpool on the search for a defender, Schuurs might be a suitable replacement for Jurrien Timber for Jurgen Klopp‘s side. And, with Napoli now concerned about the Reds’ interest, a transfer may be on the cards.

Indeed, Schuurs fits the type of what Liverpool is looking for in a defender this summer, with Napoli and Newcastle also interested. With one team already worried about what the Anfield side may do, Klopp and his colleagues must be eager to complete a deal as soon as possible.

As we all know, Liverpool could need some quality center-back depth this summer, and with Schuurs an excellent possibility, the former Ajax star may be a terrific addition to Klopp‘s team if they can beat off Napoli and Newcastle.
