Mohamed Salah is said to have visited with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Morocco, amid doubts over his club’s future.

Salah, 31, has been mentioned as a possible successor for Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, or Neymar at Parc des Princes.

Messi has previously stated that he would join Inter Miami on a free transfer this summer.

Kylian Mbappe has informed PSG that he will not sign a contract extension until 2025, increasing the likelihood of him being transferred this summer.

Meanwhile, PSG are allegedly willing to let Neymar go if a sufficient offer is made for the Brazilian.

According to Sports Zone (via Get French Football News), Salah recently met with PSG president Al-Khelaifi in Morocco.

It comes after the couple was pictured together earlier this year in London.

According to the report, Al-Khelaifi has contacted Salah to evaluate his interest in relocating to Paris.

The duo are said to have been in continuous communication since the World Cup in Qatar this winter.

In the most recent meeting, Al-Khelaifi is alleged to have urged that Salah replace Messi at the Parc des Princes.

According to the article, Salah was ‘willing to entertain Al Khelaifi’s proposal’ without ‘necessarily agreeing with the PSG president’.

Salah only recently signed a new three-year contract extension with Liverpool that will keep him at Anfield until 2025.

However, he might be enticed to join PSG, who, unlike Liverpool, can promise him Champions League play next season.

Liverpool has been notified about PSG’s interest in Salah.

Liverpool great Robbie Fowler wrote in his Mirror column that PSG were ‘nailed on’ to make a move for Salah following Messi’s departure.
“[Robert] Lewandowski appears to be finishing his career at Barcelona, while [Erling] Haaland and [Kylian] Mbappe are unlikely to be available this summer or anytime soon.”Which leaves [Harry] Kane and Salah…and Neymar, if anyone is foolish enough to bet on a man who appears to be done with football. Four of the world’s most powerful teams are united in their desire for a goal-scoring guarantee. And two English attackers who have delivered them beautifully over the last seven years. There’s going to be a big fight.

“I only mention Salah because I’ve been thinking for a few months that he could be targeted this summer, and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if both Real Madrid and PSG come in for him – with the French club nailed on to try and get him.””I don’t think Liverpool fans should be too concerned because he has a long contract and the club has demonstrated in recent years that they will not be forced to sell unless it is on their terms.”Having said that, his remark at the conclusion of the season about how disappointed he was that they didn’t place in the top four was concerning.

“That didn’t sound like Mo to me; it sounded like his agent.” And we know how HE works. PSG must bring in a major star to replace Messi this summer, and most likely Neymar as well. So they’ll be swinging hard – and they could even go after Kane.”
