Aston Villa face another crucial match on Saturday (3pm) when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool.
Unai Emery’s team will travel to Merseyside after defeating Tottenham 2-1. Villa are one point behind sixth-placed Brighton and have the same number of points (57) as Spurs.
Former Reds defender Mark Lawrenson has delivered his verdict ahead of the game, predicting his old team to take all three points.
“I’ll go for Liverpool to win,” he wrote in his Paddy Power column. “It’s interesting that Curtis Jones appeared to be regressing a couple of weeks ago, but he’s just had a fantastic last three or four games with assists and goals.”
Liverpool 2-1 Aston Villa, according to Lawrenson.
