The work of Erik ten Hag Manchester United are apparently considering further discussions with Kim Min-jae in order to outbid Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for his signature

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Manchester United will have further rounds of talks with Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, who is also wanted by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
United aim to pay the €60 million (£52 million) release clause for the South Korean international central defense in July, according to Galetti.
“There is already a new round of meetings scheduled in the coming days in which Manchester United will try to finalize and reach a full agreement on personal terms,” the journalist stated.

“Then, in early July, the English club already planned to pay to Napoli a €60 million release clause valid for 15 days in order to bring in the Korean player, followed by Liverpool and Tottenham in the Premier League.”
What should Liverpool do in the wake of Kim Min-jae’s departure from Manchester United?
If Liverpool is serious about signing Kim Min-jae during the summer transfer window, we believe they should, like Manchester United, activate the release clause in the Napoli defender’s contract.
If United does the same, the defender will have to pick between the Red Devils and the Merseyside club.

Liverpool, like United, is a big club with a global brand, and they should be confident in convincing Kim to transfer to Anfield rather than Old Trafford.
True, Liverpool will not compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, but that does not preclude Jurgen Klopp‘s team from attracting great talent.

Kim may have won Serie A with Napoli this season, but a move to Liverpool would be a significant step up for the defender.

If Liverpool are serious on signing Kim, we believe they need step up their efforts.
