In recent weeks, the defender has been linked with clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United.
According to a report in the Portuguese newspaper O Jogo (via SportWitness), the 21-year-old is open to a move to Manchester United, and the Red Devils have already made preliminary contact regarding a summer transfer.
Liverpool are also interested in signing the central defender, so it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can beat off competition from their archrivals and sign the 21-year-old.
Inacio is regarded highly throughout Europe and has established himself as a key player for Sporting CP.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United require defensive reinforcements, and the €45 million-rated defender could be a good long-term investment.
Liverpool will need to upgrade players like Joel Matip and Joe Gomez. Manchester United, on the other hand, are expected to lose players such as Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire in the summer.
Both defenders have fallen down the Old Trafford pecking order and must leave the club in order to play regular first-team football.
Erik ten Hag will need to bring in adequate replacements, and Inacio appears to be a good option.
The defender’s contract includes a €45 million release clause, which the two Premier League clubs should be able to meet.
The opportunity to showcase his talents in the Premier League will be appealing to the youngster, as will a move to Liverpool or Manchester United.
