Manchester United are closing in on Mason Mount, with the England international set to leave Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford for £60 million this summer.
Chelsea has rejected United’s original bid of £50 million, claiming that the England player is worth closer to £70 million. However, after additional discussions between the two teams, a deal is close to being achieved that will see Mount go to Old Trafford.

The attacking midfielder has informed Chelsea that he wishes to join Manchester United and has no desire to remain at Stamford Bridge. Mount’s current Chelsea contract expires in 12 months, and United think £60 million is a reasonable price for the 24-year-old.
Mount is said to have finalised personal terms with United, which will see him sign a five-year deal paying roughly £200,000 per week. United manager Erik the Hag wants Mount to be able to join the rest of the squad on their pre-season tour of America next month.

The offensive midfielder has told Chelsea that he wants to join Manchester United and does not want to stay at Stamford Bridge. Mount’s current Chelsea deal ends in a year, and United believe £60 million is a fair price for the 24-year-old.
Mount is thought to have reached an agreement with United on personal terms, which will see him sign a five-year contract for around £200,000 per week. Mount is expected to join the rest of the club on their pre-season tour of America next month, according to United boss Erik the Hag.

Ten Hag is eager to capitalize on last season’s success, which saw United finish third and immediately return to the Champions League.
Ten Hag also ended United’s six-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup, but he understands he still has to make some important acquisitions in the coming weeks if his team is to fight for the crown next season.
Mount was spotted by the Dutchman six months ago, and he feels he will thrive at United with England teammates Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
