According to Football Insider, Liverpool are still in talks with Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram
After signing an extension in 2021, the 22-year-old’s contract at the Ligue 1 club continues until 2025, and Football Insider has discovered that the French club would welcome a bidding war for the midfielder.
A deal for Thuram is believed to be conceivable, but Ryan Gravenberch might emerge as a prominent target if the Reds are unable to reach an agreement with the Nice midfielder.
Gravenberch has long been a target for Liverpool, and the Reds were interested in a deal before he joined Bayern Munich from Ajax last summer.
The 21-year-old made 33 appearances for Bayern in all competitions this season but is unsure about his future role in Thomas Tuchel’s plans.
As a result, if a deal with Thuram cannot be done, the midfielder might rise to the top of Jurgen Klopp’s priority list.
The Merseysiders have already secured the long-term signing of Alexis MacAllister from Premier League rivals Brighton.
As they try to improve their midfield, the Reds have been linked with moves for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia and Celta Vigo’s Gabri Veiga.
Chelsea are chatting to the two about a potential move to Stamford Bridge, according to Football Insider, but are waiting to sell many assets before proceeding with official approaches for the midfielders.
