Liverpool hasn’t had the best of luck recently. While the 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United was a great treat, their season has been on a downhill spiral for far too long
Coming from a 7-0 victory over one of the league’s better teams to a 1-0 defeat over one of the league’s poorest demonstrates Jurgen Klopp’s inconsistency.
But, among all of this variability, there has been one consistent. This season, Liverpool’s 18-year-old midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has been one of the first names on the squad sheet. The teenager has been a breath of fresh air for Jürgen Klopp because to his dribbling and creative ability.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Bajcetic was observed traveling ahead of his journey to Real Madrid. Several supporters were pleased because they could see Bajcetic play, but their excitement was quickly dashed. Klopp has since confirmed that Bajcetic would miss the match owing to a negative stress response.
Losing an 18-year-old who was unheard of last season in one of the club’s most important games to date, where they need to overcome a 5-2 deficit, may not appear to be the most devastating blow. Bajcetic, on the other hand, would have offered a fresh burst of energy and level of unpredictability that may have been too much for even Real Madrid to handle.
To add salt to the wound, the report claims that Karim Benzema is “100% recovered” from his injury. The winner of the Ballon d’Or is possibly the most likely player on the field to score.
That was always going to be difficult for Liverpool. Turning around a 5-2 deficit is never easy, but it’s even more difficult when you’re up against one of the world’s top clubs and the favorite to win the competition. Regardless of the outcome, it will be an excellent game.
What do you think the score will be between Real Madrid and Liverpool?
