This summer, Liverpool is particularly interested in signing Warren Zaire-Emery, a 17-year-old PSG prospect.
Zaire-Emery, who played 26 times for the French champions, was one of the Ligue 1 season’s breakout players in 22/23. That is indeed really amazing when you take into account the kind of skill on the PSG team. And the young player’s ascent hasn’t gone unnoticed, claims RMC Sport. No, not by a long shot.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, is allegedly the person who is most interested, which is sad. Pep will allegedly demand Zaire-Emery in return for Bernardo Silva, who PSG is apparently interested in acquiring from City. However, it is said that the Parisians are prepared to reject these initiatives since they consider their stars to be “untransferable.”
Interestingly, Zaire-Emery allegedly does not share this sentiment. The midfielder is reportedly “watching carefully” what PSG does in the transfer market since Manuel Ugarte is expected to leave Sporting to join them.
It is implied that Zaire-Emery, who is supposed to prioritize his growth above all else, would get offended by this. There may be a delicate turning point as he enters the last two years of his contract in Paris.
This apparently sparked interest from City, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool in addition to Liverpool. However, Zaire-Emery is believed to have been “brought out the barbed wire” by PSG sporting director Luis Campos without any plans to transfer him. We have a hunch that this is not the last we’ll hear about this.

Zaire-Emery may be a viable alternative as Liverpool attempts to recoup from the shock of losing Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid.
How frequently do you see a 17-year-old taking the field for one of the top teams on the continent? Bellingham was succeeding in it, but few others do it so swiftly.
But Zaire-Emery has. Despite the fact that he only turned 17 in March, only eight of his 26 Ligue 1 outings last season were starts.
With City in the picture, nothing will be simple. The fact that PSG doesn’t want to lose him doesn’t help either. Liverpool may be an outsider in this matchup because Dortmund has history with players of this caliber as well.
But it’s possible that the Reds will give young Zaire-Emery the chance to right away establish himself as a semi-regular starter. With Ugarte joining the team, City won’t be able to provide that, and PSG most likely won’t either.

Our prediction is that the Reds will prioritize more seasoned players for their midfield. But if they want to take a risk and gamble heavily on up-and-coming talent, Zaire-Emery would be an interesting choice.
