Following the losses of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, Liverpool want midfield reinforcements
The Merseyside club has identified Romeo Lavia as a potential Fabinho replacement, but after losing two veteran midfielders, it appears that the Reds require a more solid option to partner the Belgian.
The Reds might potentially acquire a midfielder who has won two league titles in two years, according to Sport.
We’re referring to Franck Kessie.
The Ivorian has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Ange Postecoglou reportedly seeking to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur, but Liverpool may now enter the battle.
To say the least, this is fascinating.
Kessie’s career has taken a hit in the last year as he has fought for minutes at Barcelona, but we must not forget how magnificent he was at AC Milan.
During his career in Serie A, Kessie was completely dominant. There’s a reason Barcelona eventually signed the midfielder, who was described as a ‘complete player’ during his time at San Siro.
However, breaking into the Barcelona team is difficult, and Kessie is now back on the market.
A move to England could be on the cards, and Kessie would be magnificent in English football.
