Liverpool are reportedly willing to spend a lot of money this summer to sign a secret obsession’ of Jurgen Klopp from Napoli

Klopp is obsessed with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was instrumental in the Serie A side’s 4-1 win over Liverpool in September.

Kvaratskhelia, who only joined Napoli from Dinamo Batumi in the summer for €10 million, has piqued the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs this season, with performances in both the Champions League and Serie A catching the attention of Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old has 14 goals and 16 assists in all competitions for the Serie A champions, thriving in partnership with Victor Osimhen.

According to reports, interested parties may struggle to entice Kvaratskhelia away from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium given the widespread interest in Osimhen, who is expected to make a move this summer.

According to Fichajes, Klopp and Liverpool have a “secret obsession” with Kvaratskhelia (via Sport Witness).

According to the report, Liverpool is “willing to put on the table a financial offer powerful enough to make him one of the great stars next season.”

It appears unlikely, however, that Liverpool would be ‘willing to satisfy Napoli’s wishes’ and put ‘€130m on the table’ given that they have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign England international Jude Bellingham due to his price tag of more than €100m.

Kvaratskhelia’s agent confirmed in February that there has been a lot of interest in his client, but that the winger is currently focused on his career at Napoli.

“Other clubs are showing a lot of interest.” Kvara, on the other hand, is only concerned with winning the Scudetto and defeating Napoli in the Champions League,” Mamuka Jugeli explained.

Jugeli, of course, refused to rule out a future move for Kvaratskhelia, but insisted that it would have to be a foreign offer for him to consider leaving Naples.

“He enjoys playing for Napoli,” the agent explained. “He told me that he only sees himself playing football in Italy in Naples.” Apart from Napoli, he will never play for another Italian club. He feels at ease in Naples.”
