Liverpool are interested in signing Ryan Gravenberch, a midfielder for Bayern Munich
The 20-year-old Dutchman joined the German club at the start of the season for roughly €25 million, but he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Julian Nagelsmann.
Gravenberch is regarded as one of Europe’s most promising young midfield prospects, and he requires consistent playing time to complete his development and reach his full potential. This season, the 20-year-old has only started one league game for the German club.
According to Fichajes, Liverpool is now close to signing the midfielder and are in advanced talks with the German club over a summer deal.
The Reds are likely to lose free agents such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and James Milner at the conclusion of the season, and Jurgen Klopp will need to bring in additional midfield reinforcements. Gravenberch may be a good long-term purchase for them.
Additionally, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have struggled this season, and the Reds require a defensive midfielder like Gravenberch to push the first-teamers to perform better.
The 20-year-old has the potential to excel in the Premier League, and working with a world-class coach like Klopp next season might help him restore his form and confidence.
Furthermore, because to his current status at the club, Bayern Munich are unlikely to be able to make a profit on him, and the Reds may be able to get him for a steal.
