According to Football Insider, Liverpool are interested in Chelsea defender Levi Colwill ahead of the summer transfer window
The 20-year-old has impressed this season while on loan at Brighton, and with Jurgen Klopp looking to strengthen his defense, the youngster has been identified as a possible target.
The Reds are joined by Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in considering a move for the England U21 international, and with Frank Lampard’s side looking unlikely to finish in the top four, they will be forced to sell players this summer in order to recoup some of the £600m they spent this season trying to strengthen the squad.
Colwill has yet to make his senior Chelsea debut, and he will be desperate to play regular first-team football next season.
According to the report, Liverpool has sent scouts to watch the youngster on numerous occasions this season and have been very impressed with what they’ve seen.
When he returns to the club this summer, the youngster will have two years remaining on his current Blues contract, which means the west London club will have the upper hand in determining any potential transfer fee.
