According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish star will play for Liverpool next season

Adrian, the Liverpool goalkeeper, is set to stay at Anfield for another year, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who spoke exclusively to GIVEMESPORT.

The uncapped Spaniard has only appeared twice in the last two seasons but appears to have committed his short-term future to the Reds.

Although Liverpool do not want to lose him, Caoimhin Kelleher is willing to leave the Merseyside club in search of regular minutes, according to The Athletic.

This could open the door for Adrian to get more regular game time, particularly in cup competitions.

Adrian has been Alisson Becker’s deputy since his free transfer from West Ham United in 2019, but despite not playing as much as he would have liked, he has multiple honours to his name, including the Premier League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup.

Adrian took to Twitter following Liverpool’s final game of the 2022/23 season against Southampton, insisting that ‘great lessons’ had been learned to ensure that Liverpool return to their best in the near future.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praised his third-choice keeper as “incredible,” suggesting Adrian may have a chance to prove his worth despite being the club’s oldest player.

Fabrizio Romano spoke about Liverpool and Adrian.
Adrian will remain a Liverpool player for one more season, according to Romano, and an official statement from the club is on the way.

“Yeah, Adrian will stay,” he told GIVEMESPORT on Tuesday afternoon. According to what I understand, he has already signed a contract extension for another season, so everything is done; we just need to wait for the club statement.”

What role will Adrian play at Liverpool next season?
Alisson will undoubtedly remain Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice goalkeeper, as the Brazilian is one of the few Liverpool players who can look forward to a successful 2022/23 season.

Liverpool’s 36-year-old shot-stopper has appeared in zero Premier League games this season, while Kelleher has appeared in seven Premier League and Carabao Cup games.

The former West Ham player last played for the club in July, when Liverpool defeated Manchester City 3-1 in the Community Shield, but he has been an unused squad member since.

Last season, he was the German tactician’s third choice, but with Kelleher’s departure, he will hope to move up the pecking order.

The following season will most likely be more of the same for the £63,000-per-week earner, as if Kelleher decides to move on, Liverpool will be forced to sign a new backup goalkeeper to fill in when needed.

However, with Liverpool’s unfortunate fifth-place finish implying that they will return to the Europa League, there is a growing possibility that the seasoned keeper could become a regular for the Reds when they can afford to rest Alisson.

According to the latest Tottenham Hotspur news, Pape Matar Sarr could leave in the summer, with Marseille and others interested in signing him

Tottenham finished eighth in the Premier League and changed managers three times. This is something that many people expected to happen.

Sarr’s first season with Spurs’ senior squad, and the 20-year-old is clearly viewed as a player for the future.

He only appeared 14 times in all competitions this season, but despite his age, he is drawing a lot of attention ahead of the summer transfer window.

Pape Sarr, a Tottenham Hotspur player, is attracting interest.
Footmercato’s report that Sarr is one of the names on the Marseille list was relayed by journalist Santi Aouna. The board of directors highly values him.

Clubs from the Premier League are also interested. Everything is possible for the Senegalese midfielder right now. He wants to play more football the following year.

With the player being so young, it would be surprising if Spurs allowed him to be sold. Despite this, he may be out of options because he wants more playing time at the club.

The player, who previously played in Ligue 1 for Metz before joining Spurs, has proven to Marseille that he can excel in their league. The “fantastic” midfielder clearly has the ability and potential to succeed.

Sarr is “one of the best young players in the world in his position,” according to The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke.

The problem is that Spurs do not have the time to wait for players to reach Premier League level. They need players now, which is critical given that the club finished eighth in the division this season.
