Neal Maupay opened the scoring for Brentford against Tottenham last night.
The Frenchman ran to the nook flag alongside with Ivan Toney and determined it would be a accurate concept to mock Spurs star James Maddison.
Maupay did the Tottenham range 10’s darts celebration, and he carried out what he desired to do – angered Maddison and all of his teammates.
Spurs then blew the Bees away after the damage and won the game. Maddison and Maupay persisted their little feud, with the latter even having a go on social media last night.
Now, Tottenham hero Sandro, who spent 4 years at Spurs, has come to Maddison’s defence. The Brazilian, who was once at the game final night, sent a message to Maupay on his Instagram Story.
Along with a photograph of himself throwing a dart, Sandro wrote: “@nealmaupay this celebration belongs to us. Let this be very clear. Happy to see you again @Madders.”
Things would’ve been very different for Maupay had Brentford received the game, but regrettably for him and his side, his antics backfired.
We’re positive Tottenham followers will keep reminding him of that over the next few months.
