After weeks of rumors tying him to a transfer away from the club, Wilfred Ndidi started Leicester City’s inaugural Championship game last weekend
According to Soccernet.ng, Wilfred Ndidi is in talks to be signed by Leicester City before the transfer season closes with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe.
In order to strengthen their midfield for the upcoming campaign, the Yellow Canaries have made the Nigerian one of their primary targets.
According to recent reports, Fenerbahçe has made Leicester City an initial £8 million bid, and the Turkish club’s sporting director Mario Branco has been in touch with Ndidi and his agents as well.
According to the Turkish publication Yeni Safak, the 26-year-old midfielder is seeking to leave Leicester City after the team was demoted from the Premier League last season. He would prefer to join the Yellow-Navy Blues.
Additionally, it was said that Ndidi spoke with former Fenerbahçe players Joseph Yobo and Emmanuel Emenike about the benefits of joining the team.
After signing a contract extension with the team in the summer of 2018, Ndidi has one year left on his deal at the King Power Stadium. He has also been drawing interest from Premier League teams.
