Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca is looking to add additional players this summer and has sent a scout to observe Chilean attacker Dario Osorio
El Futbolero reports that Leicester ‘insist’ on signing the player and thinks they can do so cheaply to boot.
After losing both Harvey Barnes and James Maddison, they clarify that Maresca is eager to keep adding talent to his forward line in the upcoming weeks. It’s also thought that a number of other players might leave before the window closes.
Osorio is one of the athletes who’still appears on the radar’ after being associated earlier this year when it was said that his team, Club Universidad de Chile, was anticipating an official offer.
El Futbolero reports that they are now eager to revive that interest since they are aware that the player “has been devalued in recent months.” They are now prepared to present a $4 million proposition to the CDA in exchange for 75% of the player’s rights.
It’s unclear if that will be enough to persuade the Chilean team to sell, but Leicester are clearly interested. It’s even been revealed that they sent a ’emissary’ to watch Osorio play against O’Higgins.
Perhaps the Foxes will be persuaded to pursue their interest after all because Osorio started the game tonight and even scored the game’s opening goal for Universidad de Chile in the 5-2 loss.
In any case, they sent a scout and appear interested in signing the player as Maresca rebuilds his team.
