Leeds United player likely to complete six-figure exit after holiday – Mr. Graham Smyth
Birmingham City appear to be on track to complete the signing of Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts for a bargain £500,000 sum once the player returns from his vacation.
After being demoted from the Premier League, the Whites are expected to release a number of senior and periphery players this summer.
After a slew of loanees in the 22/23 season, the majority of them could be on their way out when the offers start coming in.
Tyler Roberts is on his way out.
Leeds forward Tyler Roberts is ready to quit the club for Championship rivals Birmingham City, according to The Athletic.
It comes after the Welsh international concluded his loan spell with QPR last season, which was marred by injuries, as he only made 18 appearances and scored three goals.
After signing an extension at the end of the 20/21 season, Roberts has one year left on his Leeds deal.
When will the transfer be made official?
Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post has already provided an update, revealing that the striker is expected to complete his move soon.
The striker is currently on a post-season vacation in Marbella, where he is also maintaining his health with a training camp.
His transfer to St Andrew’s will be completed whenever he returns to the United Kingdom, with the Mail seeking a fee.
Will Leeds be promoted to the Premier League in 2023/24?
Knowing that he has no future here and is departing permanently, it’s a move that is certainly best for all parties.
Hopefully, he can put his injury woes behind him and demonstrate that he has the potential to be a good Championship striker, just not in two of those 46 games.
Leeds has no place for him, so getting a fee and getting him off the payroll is a win for us.
