Liverpool are reportedly making moves to bring Benjamin Pavard to Anfield from Bayern Munich, with his arrival freeing up Trent Alexander-Arnold to move into a new advanced midfield role.

The Merseysiders are looking to put a poor 2022/23 season behind them with some great summer signings. With a handful of players already confirmed to leave Anfield, as well as a hefty summer budget, Liverpool fans should expect a very different looking XI next season.

Indeed, they have already signed No. 1 in the form of Alexis MacAllister. The World Cup winner has moved from Brighton, signing a five-year contract for significantly less than everyone had anticipated.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is not resting on its laurels, and plans for additional extensions are already in the works. To that end, the Reds hope to sign at least two additional midfielders, namely Khephren Thuram and Kouadio Kone.

Jurgen Klopp was presented with an option late last season when he decided to transfer Trent Alexander-Arnold into a more central position.

Last season, the full-back set up nine goals in the Premier League, bringing his total to 64 in his tenure on Merseyside. However, his defensive qualities are occasionally questioned, and he can appear to be a weakness for the Reds against some of the better sides they encounter.

However, some outstanding performances in a more advanced role late in the season provided Klopp with a possible option.

To make the move more regular, Liverpool is aiming to sign a new top-tier right-back in his place.

Christian Falk rates the transfer of Benjamin Pavard to Liverpool.
As a result, rumours on Saturday suggested that Pavard could be on his way to Liverpool.

The versatile France international can play both right back and central defense, making him an ideal addition for Klopp.

And, with Bayern Munich reportedly willing to let the 27-year-old leave for €40 million (£34 million), the price checks a lot of boxes for Liverpool.

According to sources in Germany, Liverpool is outbidding Manchester United for Pavard’s signature.

Christian Falk, a respected Bundesliga transfer specialist, has characterized the Merseysiders as “hot candidates.”

Falk stated for Caught Offside, “Benjamin Pavard has informed the club that he wishes to leave in the summer.” “His agents are already in contact with other clubs.” Liverpool is currently a strong contender among them.Chelsea and Barcelona were previously said to be interested, as were Italian clubs AC and Inter Milan.”

Liverpool must now match Bayern Munich’s demands for the World Cup winner. However, there is rising speculation in Germany that Pavard may join Liverpool in the coming weeks.

Liverpool is preparing an offer for Federicho Chiesa.
With Klopp’s main summer priorities being midfield and defense, it may come as a surprise to see Liverpool linked with yet another attacking signing.

However, according to Calciomercato, Liverpool is also prepared to make a move for Juventus winger Federicho Chiesa.

The Italy international has been linked with a move to Anfield for some time. Klopp’s interest in the team extends back at least two summers.
According to the Italian media, his future with the Bianconeri is in doubt. As a result, Liverpool will apparently ‘test the waters’ with a €35 million (£30 million) opening proposal.

That is expected to be less than Juventus’ assessment of the 40-cap Italy winger.

In Italy, though, it is widely assumed that Juve would be willing to sell the 25-year-old for the right price. It remains to be seen what that number is. However, with only UEFA Conference League football available next season, Juve’s finances have suffered. As a result, Chiesa could be the first of several big-name stars to be put up for sale.
Klopp has plenty of attacking options, so he’s unlikely to go out of his way to sign him.

But, if he can bring him in for such a low fee, Klopp will be eager to close the deal.
