Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisted that selling goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher would require a “extraordinary” transfer fee
Kelleher joined the Reds in 2015, but has recently been overshadowed by Brazil international Alisson Becker.
While he has performed admirably when called upon, the Republic of Ireland has only played 20 games in all competitions during his time on Merseyside.
Despite having three years left on his Reds contract, Kelleher has only made three appearances this season and is thought to be interested in moving on.
Indeed, Sports Mail reported last month (via Football 365) that Liverpool were looking for a new goalkeeper after Kelleher stated that he wanted a summer move to secure regular playing time.
Klopp has now insisted that suitors must pay a “extraordinary” transfer fee to lure Kelleher away from Anfield.
Klopp’s thoughts on Kelleher’s future
When asked about the futures of Kelleher and Adrian, who are both out of contract at the end of the season, Klopp stated that he wanted both players to stay.
“Are you Caoimh Kelleher?” “What is going on with Kelleher?” Klopp inquired of reporters. “He’s under contract. You want us to bid Adrian farewell just in case?
“To be honest, I don’t see Caoimh leaving. I must say that it must be a very special offer for me to consider it.

“Adrian, what could it mean if we don’t say goodbye?” That he will most likely remain. If there’s nothing in the papers, it hasn’t been decided yet.
“We won’t do it just in case, but I have a feeling we’ll keep working in that position.”
Despite the fact that Adrian’s contract is set to expire, he was not named alongside Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner when the club announced earlier this week that the quartet would all be leaving when their contracts expired.
