Jung in brutally sincere Celtic switch confession as he admits the REAL reason January switch collapsed

Backtracking Jung Ho-Yeon has opened up on a workable move to Celtic – declaring he wasn’t appropriate enough to merit a firm offer from the Scottish champions.

Going into the January window, his boss Lee Jung-Hyo at Gwangju FC would declare that the membership have been in “advanced” talks over a deal whilst the 23-year-old would claim that a pass to Europe was “getting closer” as he teased a switch to the Scottish Premiership. However, with the clock ticking down on the window he admitted he had been left in the cold over a deal with radio silence rising from Glasgow’s east end.


Brendan Rodgers would be left with Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah as his solely January arrivals as time ran out on an offer – however Jung has now lifted the lid on the motives he believes saw the Hoops decline to make a move for him in the end. Asked by Sports Seoul about activity from Celtic, he said: “There was once no reliable offer, it’s because I’m now not good enough.

“If I had acquired an offer, I would have desired to go to Europe. But there was no offer. I nevertheless feel like I’m missing a lot, and I suppose the club felt that as well.

“I assume I need to enlarge my price as a participant this season. I assume there is a lot of room for improvement, so I do not have any regrets now.”
