Liverpool, on the other hand, will have to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has now officially completed the signing of Nkunku.
The Blues have agreed to terms with the Frenchman until July 2023.
Although Romano does not mention a figure, the Guardian believes Chelsea beat Liverpool to the transaction because they paid slightly more than his £52 million release clause.

Nkunku joins Chelsea after a remarkable 2021/22 season in which he scored 35 goals and supplied 20 assists in 52 appearances for RB Leipzig.
