Vicario made an impression when playing for Empoli in Italy, but it was a significant step up to play as Tottenham’s starting goalkeeper in the Premier League.

But Vicario has shown a few people wrong, and this season, he may be the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.

Van de Ven described Vicario as a “top-class” goalie who has been “unbelievable” this season in an interview with Optus Sport.

Van de Ven saw Vicario at the gym before and after training, noting that he is constantly trying to become better.

Vicario is a terrific goalie for Spurs because even when opponents score a goal, they still have to overcome him, which is “not easy.” The defender said.

“A superb goalkeeper,” Van de Ven remarked. “I believe that he is a diligent player, and that’s what he showed to the world recently as well. He works hard in the gym every day—before, after, and during training—to maximize his professional potential. He’s also a great man. He continued, “You can talk to him about anything, both on and off the field. He has demonstrated an incredible level of play on the field, and it’s also great that, on occasion, when an attack is launched, we know Vic is in the goal, making it difficult for them to score a goal.

Players other than Van de Ven have also praised Vicario’s work ethic.

Vicario should take a few days off, as suggested by Dejan Kulusevski, and Destiny Udogie concurred with him just two weeks ago.

Vicario just mentioned that he enjoys being at the training facility because of the excellent facilities, but it sounds like he is working hard.

Vicario has shown a tremendous mentality throughout his first season at the club, and Tottenham supporters will adore what they have seen from him.
