Adam Idah is no longer a final in panic signing, according to Brendan Rodgers, as he claimed the new Celtic ahead has the equal sort of potential that Moussa Dembele had when he first arrived at the club
Idah joined Celtic on mortgage from Norwich City late on Thursday night, with the announcement of his arrival coming just before the end of the switch window.
Idah himself said he first heard of Celtic’s interest on Monday, however, Rodgers insists that the participant was once now not pressured upon him with the aid of the membership after they failed to deliver his desired targets.
“No, that wasn’t the case,” Rodgers said.
“I’d players that had been presented. That’s what it is. You have several preferences and then you choose the option.
“If the alternative isn’t right when you use the understanding of the squad you have, then you don’t take it. You simply add an identity and then it all looks superb if they are not going to in shape the squad.

The comparisons with Dembele might also appear far-fetched at this stage, however, Rodgers said that he has similar attributes to the Frenchman, and he believes he can be the man to release the Republic of Ireland international’s potential.
“I take into account when Moussa Dembele came up here, the traits he had,” he said.
“Adam, his desires to recreation ratio, and having arguably performed at a higher level, is arguably greater.
“Moussa went on and had an exquisite career right here and I’m hoping Adam can do that as well. Because he’s quick, big, robust, and has a nice touch. He simply wants some structure to his recreation and a goal to his sport to get him into areas to rating goals.
“He’s proven he can do that. His real conversion of probabilities ratio is good. But he’s got to get into those areas.
“A lot of these possibilities that have been talked about are in the Premier League, which is such an excessive level. He was once an 18-year-old and used to be in about that.
“He’s 22, six foot two, quick, strong, is a good guy, he’s clever, he’s now not daft. And he comes here with a mindset to do well, and with any luck we’ll advantage from that for this period, and let’s see what takes place after that.”
