‘I’d be shocked,’ says Paul Merson, who believes Klopp will start an £8 million Liverpool player.

Pundit Jurgen Klopp will start Andy Robertson at left back against nottingham forest on Sunday, according to Paul Merson

The former Arsenal midfielder suggested in his Premier League predictions column for Sportskeeda that the Reds’ big-name stars could all line up at Anfield this weekend, after missing out against Chelsea.

“This game is a concern for Arsenal,” Merson said.

“Against Chelsea, Liverpool did not field Salah, Van Dijk, Robertson, or Alexander-Arnold.” Jurgen Klopp may be holding these players back for Arsenal. I’d be surprised if they didn’t participate in this game. Jurgen Klopp appears to prioritize the Arsenal game at home, which concerns me as an Arsenal fan.

“I believe Arsenal will win the Premier League if they win this game.” They still have a game against an excellent Newcastle side, but if they beat Liverpool, they won’t have to beat them. If they win this game, they’ll have to have a major meltdown to fall out of first place.

“Jurgen Klopp wants his Liverpool team to play a certain way, and his team lacks the legs to do so right now.” Not long ago, Liverpool annihilated Manchester United at Anfield. This will be a difficult game for Arsenal, and a win here would secure my Premier League title. “The score will be Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal.”

Merson believes Robertson will play against Arsenal.
In recent weeks, there has been much discussion about who should start at left-back for Liverpool.

Robertson was benched for Tuesday’s match at Stamford Bridge after a poor performance against Manchester City.

His replacement, however, Kostas Tsimikas, was not any better; in fact, he was probably worse.

Although the Scotsman requires rest from time to time, he is unquestionably the better option for Klopp to select.

He established himself as a Liverpool legend after joining from Hull City in an £8 million deal.

As a key member of Liverpool’s starting XI, he should be able to maintain his level for many years to come.
