Romeo Lavia is expected to become Liverpool’s third midfield signing of the summer

An agreement to bring Lavia to Anfield is thought to be close, and this may not be the last bit of activity for the Reds in the middle.

Indeed, on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey was discussing the possibility of more midfield signings after Lavia arrives, and he stated that Liverpool still have an interest in Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich, speculating that a loan deal could be done to bring the Dutchman to Anfield this summer.

Gravenberch could arrive, so Bailey shared what he knows about the £17 million man.

“I’m curious if we still see, if there is still interest in Gravenberch at Bayern.” Is Lavia experienced enough to start at Liverpool if he is available on loan? “I wouldn’t be surprised to see another two, bringing the total to four new midfielders,” Bailey added.

Depth is required.
Gravenberch wouldn’t be a bad addition to current Liverpool team, and they could use the depth.

If Fabinho leaves, Liverpool will have lost five senior midfielders in the same summer, six if Arthur Melo is counted, and it doesn’t take a mathematician to see that three acquisitions and six losses creates an imbalance.

Despite working on their midfield all summer, it appears that their incoming business on that front isn’t done yet.

Lavia should be the next one in, but keep a watch out for any rumors of extra midfield cover, particularly Ryan Gravenberch.
