Karim Konaté, the striker for RB Salzburg, has revealed his love for Liverpool while discussing where he would like to play later in his career
The 19-year-old spoke to Actu Foot Afrique, which was relayed by RMC Sport, about his career and where it might take him in the future.

He is currently with Salzburg in Austria, having joined them in July last year in a €3.5m deal from ASEC Mimosas.
After his arrival, he was immediately loaned out to FC Liefering in the 2. Liga, where he made an immediate impact, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists in 17 games.
With those numbers, he was quickly called back by Salzburg at the end of December to be a part of their squad, scoring one goal in four Austrian Bundesliga games so far.

He’ll be one to watch in the coming years, especially given Salzburg’s reputation as a breeding ground for strikers over the last decade.
He isn’t considering a move just yet, but he will admit that he has a soft spot for three clubs in particular, one of which is Liverpool.
“Lyon is my flagship club,” he declared.
“I like Liverpool and Barcelona, but Lyon is the first of the first.” Lyon is the heart; it is immobile. Red and blue blood is present.

“I went with Salzburg.” Given their history with African players and my desire to grow, it was the best option.
“They (the Salzburg leaders) came to Abidjan and then invited me to visit the facilities, and I thought this was the club for me.”
