Harry Kane has reached an agreement in principle with Bayern Munich after conversations with his brother and agency, but Tottenham insists their record striker is NOT for sale.

Harry Kane and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement in principle’ on a spectacular summer deal.

The England captain was the subject of a £60 million bid from the German champions on Tuesday, which Tottenham turned down because it fell well short of their value of the player.

Despite Spurs and Daniel Levy’s desire to maintain their talisman, who has one year left on his contract, Kane is interested in joining Thomas Tuchel‘s side, as Mail Sport previously reported.

According to the German news portal Bild, the two have now struck a “principle agreement,” with discussions led by Kane’s father and brother.

The only thing that looks to be holding up the trade is Tottenham agreeing on a price for their wantaway star.

Tottenham‘s current attitude is that any offer for the 29-year-old, who they claim is not for sale, will be rejected. Receiving a transfer fee in the last summer window before his contract ends, on the other hand, may become a more appealing option.
Bayern‘s first approach certainly fell well short of enticing club executives to leave their entrenched position, but this admission may lead to productive conversations on a transaction.

Manchester United, Kane‘s lone genuine English bidder, is searching for alternatives amid worries over his price and the likelihood of bargaining with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Without a market to push up the price, Levy and Spurs are less able to demand a large transfer fee.

That yet, the Tottenham chairman has earned a reputation as a strong negotiator for a reason, and he is well used to demanding purchasers to pay large sums for team exits.
