The 2023–24 Premier League schedule was released today. For Liverpool, the season will start with a challenging trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.

The Reds were likely due a challenging early match after playing a newly-promoted team on the first matchday of each of the previous four seasons. Jurgen Klopp‘s team will now face a Chelsea team that could be revitalized under Mauricio Pochettino’s new leadership.

On August 19, Bournemouth will play Liverpool at Anfield in their first home match of the year. To end the month of August, Liverpool will travel to Newcastle United on another difficult road journey. Newcastle United will take the place of Klopp’s team in the Champions League.

Despite Everton flirting with relegation yet again, the Merseyside derby returns for another season, with the Toffees traveling across Stanley Park on October 21, before Liverpool visits Goodison Park later in the season on March 16.
Klopp’s team will play Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on November 25, followed by a match against Manchester United three weeks later on December 16.
Liverpool will finish their league campaign at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers on May 19, just like they did in the 2021/22 season, when they pushed Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to the last day of the season.
