Liverpool transfer rumours: Given the uncertainty surrounding a move for Inter’s explosive midfielder Nicolo Barella, Liverpool has been labeled the “frontrunners” for a Nice player in 2023

Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool won their third consecutive game against West Ham in London on Wednesday, a feat they hadn’t accomplished since November and December of last year.

The Reds are still in with a chance of qualifying for the coveted Champions League position, with nine points from nine games after victory over Leeds, Nottingham Forest, and The Hammers.

Despite having two games in hand on Liverpool, Manchester United is presently only six points behind. Newcastle has one game remaining, tonight against Everton, and is still six points behind.

Liverpool definitely needs the results to go its way, but winning every game helps.

The summer transfer market could be significantly influenced by Champions League qualification. Although there is no doubt that recruitment will be necessary anyway, the extra cash on which FSG has previously relied could go a long way toward deciding who gets hired.

As always, we provide you with the inside scoop on the persons Liverpool is said to be associated with, as well as the validity of those stories. Here’s Liverpool.com’s opinion on the most recent transfer rumors swirling around the Reds.

The Inter midfielder has long been linked with a move to Liverpool, with Klopp allegedly an admirer of the all-action Italian.

The 26-year-old is nearing the top of his career, having scored in each leg of Inter’s Champions League quarterfinal win over Benfica.

According to Sportmediaset (via FCInterNews), Liverpool is preparing a $93 million (£75 million/€85 million) offer to persuade Barella away from Inter at the end of the current season.

Despite his prominence as a symbol and one of Simone Inzaghi’s current leaders, Barella is reported in the press to be a failure.

Despite his prominence as a symbol and one of Simone Inzaghi’s current commanders, the report claims that Barella has no plans to defect from the Italian side.

According to Liverpool.com, Barella would be the most high-profile signing to placate fans following Liverpool’s decision not to sign Jude Bellingham. Despite Inter’s financial problems, he is still emotionally and contractually devoted to the Milan club. At this time, a bid for the Italian powerhouse appears doubtful, but if FSG makes such generous offers, it may be impossible to turn down.

Liverpool are apparently interested in Khéphren Thuram, Marcus Thuram’s brother and the son of famed French right-back Lillian Thuram of Borussia Monchengladbach.

Liverpool is turning to Thuram, according to InterLive, because it is unlikely that it will be successful in obtaining Inter’s top player, Barella. Thuram is also much less expensive than the other two options, according to the report.

Barella is worth $77 million (£61 million/€70 million), according to this report. Nonetheless, Thuram would be nearly half the price, which would be a huge cost for Liverpool and FSG.

Thuram, an Italian-born footballer, is coveted by Milan, Inter, Napoli, and others, but according to InterLive, Liverpool is the ‘front-runner’ to sign him.

Thuram has eight assists and two goals in 45 games for Nice this season across all competitions.

Klopp’s first choice would probably be Barella, of whom he has long been an admirer, but Thuram would be a more practical option. Thuram also fits the FSG profile better than Barella because she is younger and has fewer kilometers on her automobile than Barella.
