Angel Reese Lands NBA 2K26 WNBA Cover, Adding to Her Rapidly Growing Legacy
Angel Reese continues to break new ground in her basketball career, as the former LSU standout and current Chicago Sky forward has officially been named the WNBA cover athlete for NBA 2K26. Reese becomes the latest star to join the prestigious video game franchise, following in the footsteps of two-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, who was featured on last year’s edition.
Now in her second season with the Sky, Reese has quickly become one of the league’s brightest young stars. Drafted No. 7 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, she made an immediate impact, earning All-Rookie Team honors, securing a WNBA All-Star nod in both of her first two seasons, and leading the league in rebounds as a rookie—a rare feat that underlines her dominance.
Known for her physicality, passion, and relentless play in the paint, Reese has seamlessly brought her signature style to the professional level. Her high-energy performances have reminded fans of her time at LSU, where she became a national sensation.
During her college career, Reese helped deliver LSU’s first-ever NCAA women’s basketball national title in 2023. Her elite rebounding, tough defense, and ability to finish around the rim made her a cornerstone of Kim Mulkey’s championship squad, and turned her into one of the sport’s most recognizable figures.
With her selection as a 2K26 cover athlete, Reese isn’t just making waves on the court—she’s also building a powerful personal brand off of it.
She’ll be one of three featured cover stars for this year’s NBA 2K edition. Reigning NBA MVP and champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will appear on the standard cover, while Basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony will headline the “Superstar Edition.” Reese graces the “WNBA Edition” cover, marking another major milestone for her and the growing visibility of women’s basketball.
NBA 2K26 is available for pre-order now and will officially release on September 5.
