Early Tottenham XI vs Wolves… £19m man dropped and 27-year-old for starts offevolved for the first time this year

Tottenham Hotspur will be bidding to pick up consecutive home wins in the Premier League when they host Wolves on Saturday

Ange Postecoglou’s men picked up a narrow 2-1 win over Brighton in north London over the weekend. Brennan Johnson’s late winner ensures that Spurs will head into the weekend in fourth place, one factor above Aston Villa.

But Postecoglou will be looking for an expanded overall performance after he publicly admitted he was upset with Saturday’s display, especially the first half.

One man who struggled in the opening forty-five minutes was Rodrigo Bentancur, who was once sooner or later replaced by Yves Bissouma just after the hour mark.

And in our view, Bissouma may want to be in line to come back into the starting XI for the first time this year in opposition to Wolves.

Tottenham envisioned XI vs Wolves

We’d be amazed to see any changes between the sticks and in defense, barring any injuries.

Destiny Udogie was unable to proceed towards Brighton and Postecoglou admitted he was ‘not sure’ if it was once cramp. But there is hope that Udogie will be nice for Saturday.

As for the midfield, it simply hasn’t clicked for Spurs in the middle of the park in current weeks.

Postecoglou’s guys have struggled to manipulate games and the midfield was underwhelming in the first 1/2 towards Brighton.

Bentancur struggled on the day as he gave the ball away in dangerous areas on a few occasions, with one leading to the penalty incident. It wouldn’t be a shock to see the £19 million man drop to the bench in opposition to Wolves, with Bissouma replacing him.

The 27-year-old has these days again from AFCON 2024 and is but to start a recreation for Spurs this year.

The midfield three of Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr, and James Maddison labored brilliantly for Spurs earlier in the season.

As for the front three, you’d assume Heung-min Son to return to the starting XI.

Timo Werner has loved a pretty encouraging begin to life at Spurs. But he might also drop to the bench for Tottenham’s skipper, with Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski keeping their places in the side.

Here is our anticipated Tottenham XI for the clash in opposition to Wolves in full.
