With freshman Caleb Odom (Ole Miss), Kendrick Law (Kentucky), Emmanuel Henderson (Kansas), and Kobe Prentice (Baylor) all leaving for the 2025 season, the Alabama receiving room lost four players to the NCAA transfer site.
The search for another elite pass catcher was made evident, but the Crimson Tide is expected to welcome back players like Ryan Williams, Cole Adams, and Germie Bernard (pending his NFL draft selection), among others.
Here comes 6-foot-4 receiver Isaiah Horton, who has two more years of eligibility. During his formal visit last Saturday, the former Miami contributor pledged allegiance to the Crimson Tide.
What specific contributions does the native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, provide to the Alabama offense? An official starter? To find out more, Bama247 spoke with Gaby Urrutia, an analyst at 247Canes who covered the large receiver for two seasons while he was in Miami, Florida.
On Christmas Eve, the Denver Broncos cut the former cornerback for Alabama.
Running back Blake Watson was added to the Denver Broncos’ active roster on Tuesday after cornerback Levi Wallace was dismissed
Wallace participated in and started two of Denver’s first 13 games, including the team’s Dec. 2 victory over the Cleveland Browns, 41-32. Wallace had a rough day against Browns quarterback Jameis Winston while filling in for injured CB Riley Moss.
The former Alabama defensive back has been a healthy scratch in the two games that have followed, as Denver has substituted younger players for Moss, including Spanish Fort High School freshman Kris Abrams-Draine.
Regarding the decision to waive Wallace, Broncos coach Sean Payton stated, “It’s never an easy decision.” We’ll have to wait and see if we can get him back on the practice team. In essence, you’re attempting to safeguard specific slots on your roster. In my opinion, some of those men have been really stepping up, especially with the way Kris Abrams-Draine has been acting. It’s always challenging to hold onto a young player like Blake Watson when others are attempting to. This is the time of year when some struggling clubs may be hoping to improve by acquiring practice squad guys.
“But it’s roster management, and it’s challenging.”
On April 22, Wallace became a free agent in the NFL and joined Denver. This season, he had played in 49 special teams plays and 307 defensive snaps.
Despite not being selected in the draft, Wallace has started 72 NFL regular-season games and five playoff games since graduating from college with the Crimson Tide’s CFP national championship squad in 2017.
After spending the first nine games of his rookie season on the practice squad, Wallace went on to start all 57 of his games in four seasons with the Buffalo Bills before signing a free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022.
Wallace participated in 16 games in 2023, making nine starts. When injuries rocked the secondary in the last month of 2023, Wallace, who started the season in the starting lineup for the Steelers, had his playing time decrease as second-round rookie Joey Porter Jr. made it to the field and resumed his normal duties.
In his NFL career, Wallace has intercepted 12 passes; however, this season, he has not done so.
