Liverpool team news for the Premier League match versus Manchester United
Jurgen Klopp has chosen his Liverpool lineup for today’s crucial match at Anfield against bitter rivals Manchester United.
The Reds make three changes following last week’s 2-0 loss to Wolves.
Diogo Jota drops to the bench after starting the previous two games. The Portugal international has recently returned from a four-month layoff due to a calf injury. Instead, Cody Gakpo, a former Manchester United target, leads the assault, with Jota sliding to the bench.
Klopp has opted for more experience in midfield, with captain Jordan Henderson replacing youngster Stefan Bajcetic.
Andy Robertson replaces Kostas Tsimikas at left-back, as predicted.
Liverpool will look for their fourth win in five league games and will move up to sixth if they defeat in-form Manchester United.
Liverpool’s starting lineup is as follows: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dij, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Elliot, Salah, Gakpo, and Nunez.
Kelleher, Milner, Firmino, Jones, Jota, Tsimikas, Carvalho, Matip, and Bajcetic are the substitutes.
