Dick Vitale remarks, “He’s in a League of His Own,” as Cooper Flagg shines as Duke dominates UNC.

As has been the case this season, the North Carolina Tar Heels faltered early on Saturday

This time, though, they had a poor start against the Duke Blue Devils, a squad that forced them to pay a high price. In the first half, Cooper Flagg, Duke’s outstanding freshman, took centre stage, dazzling both spectators and commentators with his extraordinary skill.

Dick Vitale, a long-time college basketball legend, was among many enthralled with Flagg’s performance and rushed to social media to show his appreciation. “In my forty-five years at ESPN, I have never witnessed a player so young and talented—Cooperation Flagg is in a class by himself.” He is THAT GOOD! Vitale spent the first half tweeting. The scoreboard clearly showed Duke’s superiority,

It’s not just Vitale who is praising Flagg. For years, the Duke standout has been the talk of collegiate basketball, with commentators all across the country praising his skills.

Jay Bilas added his voice to the chorus of supporters on ESPN’s *College GameDay* prior to the Duke-UNC matchup, emphasising Flagg’s special influence. “Considering the amazing freshmen Duke has had, I think he’s the most advanced freshman they’ve ever had in every area of the game,” Bilas remarked.

I’m not saying he’s the best; there are other brilliant players like Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum. However, when it comes to competitiveness, he is superior. I’ve never seen a more competitive freshman than him.

Since so many players are competitive, Bilas continued, “it’s difficult to quantify that, but with Cooper, it’s just different.” He is unique.

Flagg is one of the most intriguing players to watch in college basketball this season because of his outstanding performance and the recognition he has received from basketball greats like Vitale and Bilas.
