Forest Enhance Midfield Depth
The Tricky Trees have loaned out current midfielder Freuler to Bologna, allowing the Argentine to join the City Ground. Dominguez joined the Italian team as an unknown in 2019 and went on to make 104 appearances in four seasons.

The 25-year-old captained his club and was also a member of Argentina’s Copa America-winning squad in 2021.

The midfielder was a priority target for fellow Italian club AC Milan as they sought to replace Rade Krunic, who is set to leave before the end of the transfer window. However, according to Romano, the Bosnian will sign a new contract with the Italian giants.

This news allowed Steve Cooper‘s team to pounce on utility guy Dominguez.

Trees on the Move

It’s safe to say the Reds are making the most of every hour of the transfer window, since there are still plenty of incomings and outgoings only one day before the deadline. Forest have moved their focus to Odisseas Vlachodimos of Benfica after missing out on Dean Henderson to Palace.

Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is also said to be close to making the short trip to Nottingham, with the deal “still on and concrete.”

Cooper’s side has had a difficult start to the season, facing both Arsenal and Manchester United, but there have been visible signs of development. The Tricky Trees will be relieved to see September go, and they are hoping that next month will bring a few more points to match their remarkable efforts.
